New Rawlings Shoulder Pads!

When it comes to shoulder pads there are a lot of fish in the sea. Most players really don't care about all the bells and whistles that shoulder pads have to offer so purchase descisions are most often based on price. The second most common deciding factor is size and weight. A lot of players, even experienced players, tend to preffer pads that are lighter even if they offer less protection.

While this methodology protects the wallet it doesn't always offer the best protection on the field. I have had many experiences where a semi-Pro Level Football Player wants to purchase middle school or junior varsity shoulder pads.
